Program Overview

Seeking Safety is an evidence-based, present-focused program designed to help participants establish safety while addressing the effects of trauma and/or substance use. Unlike many trauma-focused programs, Seeking Safety does not require participants to revisit traumatic experiences in detail, making it accessible and appropriate for a wide range of survivors.

A certificate is awarded after each lesson that is completed so that participants may show progress towards completion of this psychoeducational program.

Eligibility

Any survivor of domestic violence and/or sexual assault is eligible to participate.

This class is not a domestic violence education class for offenders.
